MAY-Died in Shelby, Ohio, April the 15th, 1887,John MAY, aged 78 years, 8 months, and 29 days. The deceased was born in Bedford Co, PA and came to Richland Co, Ohio with his parents in 1828, and with them settled on what is known as the MAY farm. His father, Leonard MAY Senior, was twice married, the deceased, two brothers and one sister were the children of the first wife. His two brothers died about fifty years ago. His sister is still living in Defiance, Ohio. After remaining with his parents on the farm, one year he returned to PA and in 1833 was married to Miss Elizabeth KEGG, with whom he lived happily for forty years. The fruit of this union was seven sons and four daughters. ...

... He leaves four sons and three daughters, twenty-one grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one sister, two half-sisters, and five half-brothers to mourn his death. One Sabbath afternoon his funeral services were held in the Lutheran Church, conducted by his pastor, assisted by Bro's KIRK, REEDER, and HILL. ...
